Sunshine Coast Beaches
One of the biggest Sunshine Coast attractions would have to be the beautiful beaches. Sugar-like sand, clear blue water, waves that range from gentle rolls to awesome swells…a day on a Sunshine Coast beach sounds almost too good to be true. Luckily, it’s not: the Sunshine Coast offers dozens of beaches, all within two hours of Brisbane.
Surfers will have the most luck catching killer waves at Alexandra headland or Mooloolaba which is also one of the trendier, yet still relaxed, areas on the north coast. Sitting at one of the many cafes on the Esplanade promises virtually uninterrupted views of one of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast. Mooloolaba also has the Sunshine Coast tourist attraction, Underwater World.
If it’s glamour you’re after, Noosa holidays may be more up your alley. Definitely considered the most upmarket area on the whole coast, the impressive Noosa holiday accommodation makes the area popular.
For fantastic fishing as well as beautiful beaches, look no further than Caloundra, which offers sheltered waterways that are also perfect for boating and water sports.
Near the quiet, yet clean-beach area of Coolum sits Marcoola, which is also a low-key area that offers excellent swells for serious surfers. Once you’ve had enough of the beach (which could take a while!), head on over to Montville, a beautiful town in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
When trying to select Sunshine Coast accommodation, it is well worth it to book accommodation that overlooks the beach – Sunshine Coast holidays are made perfect by having a beautiful view to wake up to every morning.
